CMC Markets
CMC Markets was established in 1989 when entrepreneur Peter Cruddas famously started the company with a £10,000 investment. Cruddas called his firm the ‘Currency Management Corporation’ and set up a small office with just a desk and a phone. He began to broker FX deals with contacts gained as a bank operator at Western Union. Fast forward 20 years and Peter Cruddas is now the Chairman and CEO of a global company with offices around the world and over 1,000 staff. The Currency Management Corporation was re-branded as CMC Markets in 2005 and has broadened its product range to offer financial spread betting, CFD trading and FX.
